Harrow Carers can help you find out what financial benefits you may be entitled to. We will carry out benefit checks and advise what benefits are appropriate for you and the person you care for.
We provide respite for anyone caring for a child with a physical disability and/or special needs, between the age of 2 and 18 years of age.
This is an opportunity to ‘have your say’ and it really is listened to. This group has been very vocal and their comments have influenced the Local Carers Strategy in London Borough of Harrow.
Health Liaison GP Link Project
We have information desks regularly at GP Practices within Harrow as well as the now familiar twice weekly desk located at the main entrance of Northwick Park Hospital.
Mental Health Support Service helps Carers of persons who are affected by mental health problems.
The project provides services to senior/older carers and their families.
If you are a health professional or work within the social services and wish to make a referral to Harrow Carers, please contact us on 0208 868 5224.
Volunteer Project / Activities, outings and services
This project manages a team of volunteers that support carers by providing breaks for carers, a stroke club to give carers a break, activities and outings.
A young carer is a child or a young person under 18 years of age who is carrying out significant caring tasks and assuming a level of responsibility for a parent, guardian, sibling or other relative. We provide a wholistic support for the young carer and their family including advice, respite, counselling and training.
