Workshops

Working for Carers supported 1,266 unpaid carers and former carers, across all 33 London boroughs, to move into or closer to employment. The project was funded by the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund between October 2016 and June 2023, as part of the Building Better Opportunities programme. Working for Carers was delivered by Carers Trust in partnership with four Network Partners (local carer organisations): Camden Carers ServiceCarers LewishamHarrow Carers; and Redbridge Carers Support Service.

  • Stepping out of the constant cycle of unhelpful thoughts and emotions
  • Proven to improve your psychological and physical wellbeing, it can reduce stress and enhance coping
  • Mindfulness session includes mindful meditation, education and discussion

Confidence Building Workshop

This workshop will cover the following:

  • Fake it until you make it (trying hard is what it needs)
  • Positive attitude matters (start with understanding your needs).
  • Challenge your inner critics.
  • Don’t wait for external validation

 

IT Basic Skills

This workshop will cover the following:

  • Introduction and assessments
  • Computer-basics (Functionality)
  • Windows Basics
  • Emails and internet
  • Social media and online interactions.
